Life’s Next Steps

I am finally finished with college after a long four years. 5 years ago, I had no clue if I even wanted to go to college; leaving high school with a 2.2 GPA, I was super uncertain about my future and made a remarkable turnaround within my life. I officially graduated college with a 3.3 GPA, and I learned more then i could imagine.

I have not had much time for the blog because my last semester of school was super complicated and hectic with learning online while playing lacrosse and having a ton of safety pauses; in the future, I will be posting a lot more and sharing more investment and trading ideas with my community of followers.

During college, I realized that I need to start investing and getting into marketing, and I was fortunate enough to intern at two excellent companies, one which was Active International and the other was Benjamin Moore & Co. These companies taught me a lot about corporate life and what it was like to work for a corporation; at these two companies, I learned a lot about marketing, and they have helped mold me into who I am today. After experiencing corporate culture and life, I decided that it wasn’t for me, and now I am currently co-owner of a dumpster rental cleanout business called TNT Carting; my partner is a teammate of mine from college lacrosse. We worked well together on the field and would talk business and stocks almost anytime we are with each other, so it was a no-brainer that we would be able to start up our own business.

A goal of mine has always been to run my own business and work for my own assets, be my own boss and not have somebody else telling me what to do besides my customer. I am a born hustler and feel entrepreneurship is the road for me. After years of thinking of business ideas, this opportunity came across my plate, and it was an offer I couldn’t refuse.

On the other hand, Mike is taking the corporate route and landed a great job doing project estimation, which is right up his alley as an engineering major and finance minor. Mike previously interned for this company as a project engineer but after discussions with his coworkers and boss he found a happy medium in his new position. The company he is working for is called TC Electric and is part of a family of companies dealing with construction projects in and around New York City. There is no doubt in my mind that he will thrive in that job and strive for success.

Together, Mike and I are very excited to share our future with you guys, mainly because we are taking different routes in life; it will be exciting to share our experiences for me, which is running a small business, and for Mike working at a corporation. Nothing has changed for us regarding our goals of achieving financial freedom, and we can’t wait to keep sharing our future with you all.

Thank You,

Financial freedom 101 🙂
