Life Update: Wrapping Up Q3 2023
I’m going to start blogging again. 2023 has been a year of immense self-improvement for me.
I haven’t posted since 2021, but since then, I’ve made significant strides toward achieving financial freedom!
In my current state, I enjoy unparalleled freedom. Despite running two businesses, I can travel and operate from anywhere in the world without a boss dictating my daily schedule.
The growth I’ve experienced since graduating from college in 2021 is astounding. I believe I would make my 18-year-old self incredibly proud.
I’m eager to share with all of you what I’ve been up to.
Stryker Digital
On January 1st, 2023, I co-founded a digital marketing agency with a friend I met on a stock discord chat back in 2019.
In our inaugural year, we’re on track to achieve $150,000 in overall revenue, boasting an impressive 80% profit margin.
While $150,000 might not seem like a vast sum, it means that we can each pocket an additional $50,000 in our first year of operations. So, it’s been a huge success.
We started from scratch, and now we’ve scaled to a Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) of $17,000, with our sights set on reaching $20,000 per month soon!
We aggressively achieved a $10,000 per month MRR without any advanced systems or CRMs in place. At the onset, we were charging clients as little as $50 a month, significantly undervaluing our services. Now, our minimum rate stands at $750 a month with a three-month contract, and some clients are billed upwards of $1,000 per momth.
One insight I’ve gained is that less expensive clients tend to be more challenging to satisfy and are often more vocal with their complaints compared to those who pay a premium. Once our MRR hit 10k, it became clear that a pivot was necessary. We started charging higher retainers and shifted our focus to securing quality clients and delivering top-notch results.
This business is incredibly lucrative and demands a minimal capital expenditure (CAPEX).

I recently appeared on a podcast with a fellow marketing agency owner in August. He inspired me to start tweeting and informing people about my dumpster rental business.
I’ve grown my following from 0 to 1,500 in just two months. I’ve received a lot of inspiring feedback from my followers and met a ton of cool individuals.
My Twitter handle is “The Dumpster Rental Guy”. I’m leveraging my dumpster rental business alongside my marketing business to attract more customers. Service-based businesses are in high demand right now.
I’ve observed a trend of corporate professionals from all over the country leaving their 9-5 jobs to start service-based businesses such as Remote Cleaning, Pressure Washing, and Junk Removal.
Another discovery I’ve made is that many VC companies are acquiring service businesses at premiums, allowing the original owner to retain a 25% ownership. This has been quite revealing.
What some might deem “boring” businesses can be highly lucrative. In this digital age, you can operate them via a computer or even cell phone!
I’m very excited about growing Stryker Digital and I look forward to keeping you all updated on my progress!
TNT CARTING
TNT has been quite the journey. In my previous blog post titled “Life’s Next Steps”, I mentioned that I acquired this dumpster rental business with a college friend. It’s been an exhilarating experience.
We started this venture with one old truck and 29 dumpsters. Today, we have 50 dumpsters and a brand-new truck.
Our growth has been substantial. In our first year in business, we achieved $350,000 in sales. In our second year, we reached $550,000. As we enter our third year, we’re on track for $750,000!
Being able to manage TNT from my home has afforded me the opportunity to delve deep into marketing strategies, especially Local SEO and Google Ads. These tactics have substantially boosted our business growth.
In 2022, I invested $31,000 in Google Ads. While it’s a considerable sum, it has brought in many recurring revenue clients, which is crucial for any business.
So far in 2023, I haven’t spent anything on advertising, focusing solely on local SEO (Search Engine Optimization). This means when someone searches “dumpster rental Rockland county,” my company is among the first to appear in Google search results.

Being a marketing guy has given me a significant edge in this business, and it’s what inspired me to help other businesses and create Stryker Digital.
My goal for TNT is to keep it as lean as possible. I am aiming to automate as much of it as I can. One of my next steps is to hire a virtual assistant from a Latin American country to take call orders for dumpsters and schedule deliveries and pick-ups.
What I love most about TNT is the stability it offers. Garbage is never going away, and I am forging hyper-local connections with numerous homeowners and contractors in my area.
I’ve met many wonderful people in my county through this business. Even with just 5 hours of work per week, I can still pay myself a handsome wage.
TNT was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I’m thrilled to be a part of such a business at a young age.
Thank You
For those who made it this far, I appreciate it. Instead of blogging about personal finance, I am pivoting my role in this blog to discuss personal growth in both business and life in general.
I am building out an incredible network both locally and across the United States. I’m very pleased with where I am right now and am eager to share more about it with all of you.
It felt really good to write this, and I’m happy to be back to blogging. 🙂
